Envirogroup is a third-generation family business with more than 50 years’ continuous involvement in the building services industry.


Envirogroup consists of three divisions — Design, Contracts, and Maintenance — with two associated utilities-related businesses, Easy Energy Ltd and Wireless Metering NZ Ltd. Our governance board, chaired by family member and Professional Director, Bruce Davidson LLB, NP, Fellow NZID, provides oversight and direction to our management team.

Managing Director

Taking over his father’s directorship in 1999, Allan’s qualifications and expertise developed from over 40 year's working as a Building Services Engineer in the utilities and building services industry. Project experience include large commercial and industrial buildings, to medical facilities and laboratories, and the maritime sector. Allan’s expertise covers plumbing, hydraulic and HVAC services, steam and multifuel combustion systems, natural gas, water, waste-water distribution and utility metering.

Allan provides technical oversight of significant installation and consulting projects, including business case analysis, and specialist advice to the maritime industry around territorial and maritime standards compliance. This includes appraising energy-efficiency, and ensuring compliance with Maritime DNV, NZBC & BWoF compliance standards.

As Managing Director, he maintains key relationships, identifies new and emerging technologies relevant to clients’ businesses, provides risk mitigation assessments to improve value to clients, and takes a personal interest in mentoring staff and apprentices.



Head Engineer

Aurelio is an internationally-experienced and qualified mechanical engineer with 45 registered international design patents to his name — including some from his time working for Ferrari in Italy. He oversees our design office bringing substantial knowledge of international services design, solutions, and a degree of 3D BIM integrated building services modelling rarely seen in New Zealand. As Head Engineer, Aurelio is responsible for identifying and managing technical risks and ensuring compliance before handing projects over to the operations side of the business. Typically, he’s busy working on hydraulic modelling and design for projects like:

  • Large scale hydraulic and wastewater design with council consent documentation
  • HVAC designs for large residential and commercial multi-storey office buildings
  • 6 Homestar rated energy-efficient care homes
  • Heating system upgrades for Ministry of Education colleges.

Aurelio also provides technical reports for clients, including survey reports for remediation and plumbing services refurbishment as well as overseeing these projects. When not working on technical solutions Aurelio likes getting his hands dirty practising trade skills like aluminium welding at our workshop and working on his Italian motorcycle collection.



Group General Manager

MBA (University of Auckland)

Brent is an MBA-qualified managing director and former business owner. He has wide-ranging experience from owning a successful HR practice and managing a large NZ body corporate management company.

Brent’s expertise, focus on organisational structure and learning, systems thinking, and leadership, ensures high quality governance for Envirogroup. His skills result in optimised service delivery, innovative problem-solving, thoughtful change management, and thorough strategic and business planning.



Manager – Wellington and Auckland

Jenny co-ordinates day-to-day business in Wellington and Auckland, and provides financial management for our Auckland and Wellington operations. With skills in business administration, and her ability to multi-task in a busy environment, Jenny is an indispensable part of our team.

Management recognition of these skills ensured Jenny’s promotion from part-time admin assistant in 2014, and Operations Manager in 2017, to Wellington Manager in 2018.



Contracts Manager Wellington

Andy connects our tradesmen and clients. He makes sure we deliver projects in a timely manner minimising impact to stakeholders and provides effective communication between parties.

Andrew joined his father working for Envirogroup in the 1990s. Starting in HVAC services, Andy has also managed our painting division and has over 22 years’ industry experience with skills covering plumbing, building maintenance, and team management.
